The tour initially got off to an awkward start as my wife and I were waiting by the agreed point but when nobody appeared we had to call the tour company’s HO. It transpired that our 2 hour tour was actually part of a 3 hour tour that started earlier and the large party that was close by was actually the one we were to join. A better communication from the tour company to advise us of the part-tour we were going to join would have been helpful. Otherwise the tour was well conducted with our tour guide providing information that really helped in understanding the history of the city and its historic centre, including, the cathedral.

Anot the guide turned out to be a very passionate art historian whose knowledge belies his young years. His English is impressively colloquial, and he’s an extremely personable fellow. We - an older English couple - had the good fortune to have him all to ourselves, but clearly he’s quite able cheerfully to look after larger groups. Try to get him!

I booked a group tour on my first full day in Malaga so that I could get my bearings in the city (it was my first visit). Turns out I was the only one on the tour, and I was very happy with the content, destinations, and the stories (I'm Irish, and we like our colourful stories :) ). The guide, Tania, did a great job and kept it interesting throughout. We had chats about Picasso and art, the city and a whole host of other things. We even got some traditional cake from Malaga. It as clear that she liked her work and was interested in the sharing her love of the city throughout the tour. One of the best tours I've been on. Thanks Tania! :)
