Full description

Board one of the largest catamarans in the region and spend a day filled with wildlife, glaciers, mountains, and more. See whales and glaciers in Resurrection Bay and learn the history of the region from a National park Ranger.

The cruise begins by searching for wildlife in the protected waters of Resurrection Bay. Whales, sea otters, and puffins are often sighted within minutes of leaving the harbor. A National Park Ranger will provide information on the area's wildlife, glaciers, fjords, and history. Stop at one tidewater glacier that has frequent calving events, where giant chunks of glacial ice break off and crash into the water. A full bar is available for those wanting to enjoy an Alaskan Amber or glacier margarita. Savor a deli-style lunch on board while you cruise.

The tour was excellent. The crew really want out of their way to locate wildlife for us to view. They even went the extra mile and stayed longer at the ice glacier to make sure everyone got to take enough pictures. Prices onboard for food and beverages was very reasonably priced

We were blessed to have an unusually beautiful September day!! No rain and 60 degrees!! Rain and bad weather two days before. And the day after! But on September 11th, the day we went was beautiful! It was the 6 hour tour and we saw a pod of 3 Orca whales, a rare Minke whale, sea otters sea lions, and puffins! The glaciers were spectacular! The captain of the boat was so informative and watchful of things to see. It was truly the Alaskan experience I was hoping for!!

Everything was professional, clean, and a perfect balance of amazing, informative, and fun. The experience seeing the Kenai area was breathtaking. The boats, bathroom, etc. were clean and well maintained. The system was friendly and professional at every level from food/drink service to binocular check out. We were very pleased and impressed with the captain's informative and entertaining narration. We learned a lot from this trip and really appreciated the science context. As we left we heard a young guy with ear plugs and tattoos behind us say "every time that dude got on the intercom I got smarter." We couldn't recommend this trip enough. The boats seem to get closer than 300 feet to the whales, but I just hope they are only chased down for a short while each day.
