Full description

If you have always wanted to try snowshoeing but did not know where to begin, then look no further. On this guided tour from Anchorage, get your own snowshoes and an easy lesson before venturing out into the Glen Alps to discover the natural wonders of the area.

Snowshoeing allows you to travel easily through snow-packed terrain. After a quick introduction on how to use a snowshoe, you’ll begin by walking around the parking lot until you get comfortable using them; you will get the hang of balancing and adjusting your stance almost immediately.

After your lesson, officially begin your adventure by heading to the mountainous wonderland of the Glen Alps in the Chugach Mountains, just to the east of Anchorage. Travel approximately two miles through hemlock forests and snow-covered alpine meadows.

You will have plenty of opportunities for taking photos of the magnificent South Fork Campbell Creek Valley and other memorable spots. Keep an eye out for small mammals during your trip, as well as a few birds, or perhaps even a moose.

with good support for beginners. The view is beautiful. lucky we saw the moose during the activities. Besides, just take about ~1hr total drive in the activities, so worth for the price and time.
