It's been about 20-years or more since I went to the Anchorage museum with students. The interactive displays are so much fun. Those are great! I felt a little sad, though, the cultural displays are in areas so very dark. It was difficult to read the signs for the items. I realize you might do this because light fades the colors on certain items. I wish there was another way to help with that. I also missed the cultural displays of birchbark canoes and other larger items. Were they not out? I would also like to suggest to your museum planners to have a monthly tribe feature, or even other cultures. Filipina, Norwegian, Russian, etc.
The main Alaska exhibit as well as the special exhibition of local/indigenous cartoonists were excellent. Lots of school teens the day we went... glad to see them there learning.
