Spend a day visiting Maastricht and Valkenburg. Two of the oldest cities in the south of The Netherlands. You will also visit Tripoint, the border point connecting The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
What to Expect
Enjoy a day tour to 2 cities in The Netherlands. Leave in the early morning from Amsterdam to the beautiful cities Maastricht and Valkenburg.
Maastricht is one of the oldest cities in Holland, as Nijmegen has the oldest Roman settlement. When you wander around Maastricht, you will be impressed by historic Maastrich with the oldest bridge Saint Servatius, and two top 7 oldest churches in Holland: Basilica Saint Servatius and the Church of Our Lady.
Maastricht is the birthplace of EU, the Maastricht Treaty was signed there in 1992.
Visiting a town rich in history and culture, Maastricht boasts wonderful town squares like Vrijthof, which houses Sint-Servaas Church, Sint-Jan’s Cathedral, and many bars, cafes, restaurants, and markets.
After visiting Maastricht, you’ll drive to Valkenburg, a boutique city. It has been a major domestic tourist destination for decades and packed with hotels, bars, and restaurants. The crowds that gather here in summer partly come for the town’s interesting historic sights but also for the general atmosphere and facilities.
Next, visit the Tripoint of The Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
