What You'll Do
  • Learn about the humble origins of the city on the Amstel River
  • Discover how Amsterdam became the center of the world during the Golden Age
  • Enjoy a stroll along the beautiful canals
Your expert Spanish-speaking guide will take you to see the top sights of Amsterdam’s historical center. On this 3-hour walking tour you’ll learn about the city’s rise to greatness, visit monuments to its past, and come to appreciate its popular appeal.
What to Expect
Your tour begins in Centraal Station, and then you will move to, where the city originated in the late 13th century and the spot that is the heart of Amsterdam today. Your guide will give you a historical overview of the most important sights, including the New Church, the Royal Palace, and the National Monument, an obelisk built in honor of those who died in World War II.

From Dam Square you’ll move on to the oldest part of the city on your 3-hour tour. See the Old Church, which was the first constructed in the city. Paradoxically, it is located in the heart of the infamous Red Light District.

You’ll continue on to the charming area around De Waag. This is the only gate that remains from the medieval city walls, and it has witnessed some of the most gruesome events in Amsterdam’s history.

The old Jewish quarter is your next stop, where you’ll find Rembrandt's house and the Waterlooplein flea market, one of the most famous markets in the city.

Your walking tour ends at the flower market. This spot, full of life and color, has become one of the most endearing places in Amsterdam.
