This was such a great way to explore the city without having to worry about transport prices or limitations. We were staying in the outskirts and just traveling into the city by bus every day made this worth while. Having the four day public transport ticket gave us a lot of freedom and I'm pretty sure it saved us quite a good amount of money too since we where taking the tram everywhere all day.

We were a bit out of the center. Good ticket for metro, tran and buses. The fast trains that would have gotten us to the center within 9 minutes are not included in the ticket. So we took the metro from Sloterdijk station to Centraal Station in just under half an hour. Bus would probably also have gone to Joch, about 20 minutes. For us ok, you just have to know beforehand.

The booking at Getyourgide went well. I then had the QR codes on my smartphone and didn't have to print anything out. I also installed the app. Our problem was that we had to drive about 8 stops from our stop at the hotel to Central Station, almost without a ticket, to exchange the QR code for our chip cards (tickets). On the first day, which was also our arrival day, we were late and the GVB office was already closed (open until 7 p.m.). We got there 7 minutes past 7pm. So we didn't have valid tickets. We had to drive back to the hotel and the next day to the GVB office at Centraal Station without valid tickets. The employees on the trams were always very nice and "only" accept the QR code. We had no problems at all and were able to take part. On the way there were also ticket machines at a few stops, but you have to get there first.
