Great tour of VanGogh museum. I chose to get the in- person tour instead of self guided audio option. Guide was great and gave insights I wouldn't have gotten with audio tour. After guided tour I could go back and look further

The museum introduces the complete story: the artist, the context, Van Gogh’s personal ambitions, his emotions, the myths that surround him and his influence right up until this very day.
The Van Gogh Museum’s collection includes world-famous paintings such as Sunflowers, Almond Blossom and The Potato Eaters. The museum also organizes three temporary exhibitions every year. The Van Gogh Museum is open 365 days a year. Tickets are available online only. Don’t miss out, book in advance. Make sure that you arrive at the Van Gogh Museum on the date and time for which you have purchased the ticket. At the Van Gogh Museum you will receive a bracelet which will give you access to Stedelijk Museum. The museum of Modern Art is at Museumplein 10 1071 DJ Amsterdam. The ticket for your City Canal Cruise is an so called "OPEN TICKET". This means that no timeslot has been allocated and you can board any next available boat at one of the 2 docks: • The first dock is located at Stadhouderskade 501 opposite the Hard Rock Cafe. Take tram 2 or 12 and exit at stop Leidseplein. From there the dock is a 2 minute walk. • The second dock is located at Stadhouderskade 550, opposite Heineken Experience. Take tram 2 or 12 and exit at stop Rijksmuseum. From there the dock is a 5 minute walk or take metro No. 52 and stop at Vijzelgracht. From there the dock is only a 2 minute walk. Please note that you will need to have your Getyourguide voucher ready to be scanned.

Know before you go

  • The Van Gogh Museum ticket is for a specific timeslot you choose while making your reservation. You can only enter the museum at this specific time and changing your slot time is not possible
  • The ticket for the canal cruise is an open ticket. This means that no timeslot is allocated and you can board the next available boat at one of the two docks at either Hard Rock Cafe or Heineken Experience
  • You can use your voucher for the city canal cruise daily between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM from the docks at Heineken Experience and Hard Rock Cafe
  • The last city canal cruise from Heineken Experience departs at 5:15 PM
  • The last city canal cruise from Hard Rock Cafe departs at 6:00 PM
