From Amsterdam: Giethoorn & Zaanse Schans Tour w/ Small Boat

This excursion and guide were amazing. So much to see and learn. The only issue I had was with some of the other people on this tour with us that were late and unprepared for departure and late getting back from lunch, which made us late to the windmills where I had to beg someone to let us in at least one of the windmill. Additionally they continued to take phone calls, play music and have their phones beeping with incoming texts or calls every few minutes - which was completely disrespectful and distracting. I actually spoke up and asked the tour guide to stop narrating until people were done with their phone conversations, which he did but the people stopped temporarily and then they continued and even on the boat ride through the canals. This was extremely frustrating and took away from our enjoyment and learning the history of the Netherlands. Feel like those guests should pay us back for our excursion or done a private one

I am very satisfied with the tour, although we had a situation in the morning today and thus the trip was delayed, our guide Cherry, managed it well, and our tour was not shortened. Cherry was nice, friendly and attentive, she made sure that everyone in the group had a good time and she constantly checked if everybody was comfortable. The tour started by visiting the windmill village Zaans, we stayed there for one hour, and tasted cheese and watched how wooden shoes were made. This tour was a bit rushed to be honest, but since Zaans is not the main dish and we have another 1.5 hours to get to the Giethoorn, I was ok with it. By the way, you can take the bus to Zaans from central station if you want to enjoy more. The highlight of the day must be the tour in Giethoorn, where we hopped on the boat, and you can drive it if you want, to go through all the canals in the village, then we had a 1 hour free time to explore the village by ourselves. I absolutely recommend this tour to you!
