Our tour guide, Risheet (spelling?), was just terrific. I thought I knew a great deal about Van Gogh, but he had so much interesting, pertinent history to relate, and it enhanced my understanding of Van Gogh so much. His explanation of some of the art work at different periods of Van Gogh's life added so much to my appreciation. Thanks to Risheet for the wonderful, memorable tour!
We did not plan to book the guide, but as there were no regular tickets available, this was the only chance to get in. But it was really great. Guide (Risheet) explained details which we would not find by ourselves and provided insight into many artworks. The museum was a bit crowded, but we used separate entrance for groups and had separate lockers.

Meeting point
Meet in front of the GROUP ENTRANCE of the museum. Your guide will be waiting for you in front of the group entrance. The guide will be wearing a red name tag. Important: The group entrance is not the main entrance. Please find the address in Google Maps so that you are at the right meeting point.

Know before you go
- Both tours only sells/includes adult tickets. Due to our maximum participant number of 15 people (or 5 people for the small group), children need to get an adult ticket to partake in this tour. Otherwise we cannot guarantee entry.
- Taking part in the guided tour is optional. However, be aware that this is a fixed bundle ticket. If you choose not to partake in the tour, you will not get a refund.
- The museum is very busy at the moment. Therefore, tours start and ending times can be delayed by +- 15 minutes in order to make sure the group is complete and can enter the museum. In case of a delayed start, the guide will extend the tour by the time lost so that you get the full 1.5 hour experience.
- The general tour takes place in small groups of 10-15 people max.
- The small group tour has 5 participants max. Please make sure to book the correct option.
