Firstly, you need to allow plenty of time to find the meeting point at Central Station because it's a huge place and Google maps are not helpful! Our bus was comfortable and the commentary was very interesting. I was initially disappointed because the outdoor tulips were not out - apparently they bloom at the beginning of April, something we hadn't realised. However, the park was planted with other bulbs such as crocus, narcissi and a few early red tulips. Highlight of the visit for us were the exhibitions in the pavilions where there was a staggeringly beautiful array of tulips of all sizes and colours as well as other fabulous flowers. I would thoroughly recommend this tour, even to people limited mobility because there are plenty of benches as well as mobility scooters and wheelchairs for hire.

My trip was cancelled by the other tour company due to their incompetence. Glad I managed to book this tour last min. Cant complain about the price but it was the only tour included tickets to the garden. Tickets were sold out on the officials. We were given enough time to explore and took pictures of the garden although it was too crowded during this season. However, I wish the front desk at tour and ticket was more proactive in offering us canal cruise tickets (which was included in our package). Only came to realised that I must book a timing and get the tickets from front desk later after we finished garden tour. Imagine if I never asked then the tickets would be gone in vain. Remember to ask from front desk if you signed up for the one with canal cruise.

Please make sure you find a TRANSPORT ONLY tour. Meaning you can get there any time and you can get ANY return bus to Amsterdam central at ANY time. I booked this one (transfer only BUT limited time) because the dates of our trip didn’t match with the tour I wanted to book. We booked 9:00 tour bus which left at 10:00 and it takes 1h to get to Tulip park. We only had 3h to enjoy the park which is NOT enough!! We had to rush the park and had 20min lunch! Driver said “okay it’s 11:00 meet me back here at 2pm with your bus ticket and if you are not here at 2 you will miss the bus and you CANNOT take any other bus back!” Park is worth wishing if you are in Amsterdam during the season but I highly recommend if you can go on public transport or transfer only tour. This ticket included the park entry tickets as well — only issue we had was we didn’t have enough time to explore the whole park and rising through the flowers is not fun. Inside the park there is a cafeteria and a toilet.
