Amsterdam: River Cruise With All-You-Can-Eat Dutch Pancakes

Unfortunately we were unable to leave the dock due to the weather, but we're given a drink on the house to compensate and were still able to enjoy the pancakes. Probably more of a family experience than for adults. Ball pit for kids. They tended to put the families downstairs and any kid-free guests upstairs. Pancakes were decent with a range of toppings.

Great little excursion. Good value for money with great pancakes and staff. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful and explained exactly how everything worked and it was a self serve situation where you chose between bacon, plain or apple pancakes each time with what seemed like an endless amount of delicious toppings including eggs, cheese, onions, a mixture of jams and spreads and sweet toppings. Drinks were also very reasonably priced. I did notice they’d sat all families with children downstairs and wondered if this was just to keep the top floor quieter but it turns out it was because there was a hatch under the stairs that lifted to reveal a ball pit/playroom for them. Fantastic idea!! 75 minutes was a great amount of time to enjoy the food, take in the trip from your table but also spend some time outside.

I was worried I won't be able to find the guide however he showed up a couple minutes before starting time. Look out for a guy wearing an apron. We were taken to the upstairs of a fancy restaurant where they had a huge table set up with the dough, balances, waffle grills, etc. You could serve yourself some free tea/coffee. There was 3 guys who showed us how to make and decorate the waffles. We made two of which one you can bring home in a bag. Just be careful because when I went it was so warm that the entire decoration melted in the bag. Maybe bring your own bag and packaging for it to store it better and wait for the chocolate to dry well before you leave! The guys were all very kind and funny! I would definitely recommend.
