Having the week long ticket made using public transport so easy. Despite not using the airport transport value (we were so tired we opted for a leisurely taxi ride both directions instead) - the value seemed good as we used trams extensively during our stay. While you can get your actual ticket at various stations, try to take the time to locate the airport stand for your convenience. Be aware though - the red Connextion buses are all over the place in Amsterdam and do not use this same travel pass. We had to pay onboard once before we realized this.

Unfortunately the guy in the red van was very rude. He said he didn't have a bus ticket with him, although he got these tickets from people who bought them directly from him. He sent us into town. It's just stupid that the airport bus doesn't stop at the places where you could still get your ticket. Fortunately, the GVS bus drivers were very nice and let us ride to the ticket pick-up station for free. However, this action took a lot of time. Once you have your card, it's a wonderful thing.

The option to book the ticket for public transport (also for several days) in Amsterdam with the shuttle service is great! Unfortunately, it was a bit confusing in the app where the ticket could be exchanged. This was our first time in the city and we weren't very familiar with the stops. So it was a bit of a challenge to exchange the ticket for public transport from the terminus of line 397. My tip: take a close look at the route of the bus line beforehand and look for the service point that is well located for you to exchange. We walked from the final stop to the main train station to get the ticket there.
