Ferdinand Bol (1616-1680) and Govert Flinck (1615-1660) are two of the most important Amsterdam painters of the Golden Age; they were at least as successful as their former teacher Rembrandt. In the autumn of 2017, the first ever retrospective of Bol and Flinck will take place, in which the Amsterdam Museum and the Rembrandt House Museum are working together to present a unique image of these two artists. The Rembrandt House Museum, the place where Govert Flinck and Ferdinand Bol were trained by Rembrandt, will highlight their exciting learning period. Their further development as absolute masters of their profession will be shown in the Amsterdam Museum.
