The boat ride was very pleasant and the design of the boat (open roof) allowed for good views. The guide highlighted some key buildings but did not explain a lot about them. It would have been nice to get some more information about the history of Amsterdam and the canals.

The guides Sara and Bo were excellent very skilled and interesting. I give them both 5 stars. The boat itself was a problem for me because the steps from the gunnel to the Seat and then to the floor were toooo big. I got in with help but could have fallen and really needed a step stool of some sort to be able to step up and out. Luckily Sarah was very clever and helpful...turning a plastic container over to make the step up easier and helping pull me up as I stepped up. Couldn't have done it without her. I was disappointed the strong young men staff standing nearby didn't help at all.. too busy chatting with each other. Thank you Sarah and Bo!!! Put a small step stool on board to help those of us older and needing this help.!

Great tour with knowledgeable boat driver and young bar hostess who provided an interactive, fact-filled tour of the canals. I like the way the driver let the young helper tell some of the stories and invited the riders to take guesses at many of the sights and facts. “Does anyone know how deep the canals are? (Guesses) 3 meters! On meter of dirt, one meter of bikes, one meter of water.”
