The thirteenth edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival takes place from 28 November 2024 until 19 January 2025, and has the theme Rituals. The Amsterdam Light Festival has been a yearly tradition for the last 12 years, lighting the city in the darkest months of the year. ✔️Amsterdam 750th anniversary The coming edition of the Amsterdam Light Festival is special because it coincides with Amsterdam's 750th anniversary. For a whole year, residents, districts, and institutions all over town commemorate and celebrate the unique spirit of Amsterdam. Our local skipper speaks English and Dutch, but we have a free digital booklet (QR code which will lead to a booklet on your phone or your tablet) available with guided information in the languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German, French and Italian. So you won't miss a thing! ✔️Depature location Head to the meeting point in front of Amsterdam Central Station to begin the tour. We depart right in front of Amsterdam Central Station in one of our brand new, stylish, and electric eco boats. ✔️ Highlights During the cruise, admire the illuminated works of art of the Amsterdam Light Festival, but also the Canal Belt (Grachtengordel), Schreierstoren Oosterdok, the Skinny Bridge (De Magere Brug), the Dancing Houses, the Amstel River, and much more.
