When you arrive at Keukenhof Gardens, step off the bus and embark on a guided tour of the grounds. Covering an area of more than 79 acres (32 hectares), these magnificent gardens are home to innumerable blooming bulbs, all meticulously landscaped into aesthetically pleasing patterns. The gardens are filled with delicate blossoms of all sorts of colors and textures, which emanate a gently perfumed fragrance.
Next, continue to the windmill village of Zaanse Schans - an open-air museum that houses a collection of working windmills, wooden houses, barns, and shops dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries. All buildings were brought here from 1961 on, bringing back to life this most prosperous period of the Zaan region. Upon arrival at the village, your guide will take you on an orientation tour of the town. Visit the clog museum, annex wooden shoemaker shop, and get to taste Dutch farmer cheese in the cheese farm. Following this, have time to further explore the village on your own.
Finally, finish your day with a choice of 2 attractions. Either enjoy the Amsterdam 100 Highlights Cruise which passes all of Amsterdam's famous attractions. Encounter canal houses from the Golden Age, the Westerkerk, and Anne Frank's house. Alternatively, This Is Holland is a unique 5D flight experience. Watch astonishing special effects projected on a huge, domed screen, and feel like you’re soaring over the must-sees sites of the Netherlands.

Review summary
Immense and well-kept garden. Truly splendid!
Lots of tulips of various types. A paradise full of colors. Unfortunately, the expanses of tulips on the plantations outside the gardens were no longer there, but inside the park it was really full of flowers Even the village with the windmills deserves it. The tour of the canals was interesting especially for the excellent explanations of the audio guide .... it is a highly recommended excursion.

Gardens fabulous, village quaint, canal ride very enjoyable. Tour good
Bus driver and tour guide very good. There were multiple language groups on our tour which took away from her time having to speak in 3 languages when she could have devoted more time to share history of the Netherlands. While most of the tulip fields had already been either clipped or plowed up, they made an effort to find an area that still had a few rows of tulips left. Tour was timely. Enjoyed our canal cruise. Felt the narration via recording on canal cruise could have been more informative.

The Carol guide was fantastic. I recommend the departure in front of the Heineken experience because you go immediately to the park.
