Gerrard was a great tour guide, one of the best! Wealth of knowledge - loved the fact he has lived in Amsterdam his whole life. Knew so much interesting information and took us too some fab places for the food tasting! Enjoyed every stop, even made some purchases! Would definitely recommend this tour and Gerrard fabulous afternoon spent!

Great food with excellent historical tour of the neighborhood. Wear comfortable walking shoes, layered clothes and an umbrella for sun or rain. Remember the weather has wide fluctuations daily! Food on our tour included: apple pie, coffee, herring (onion & pickle), stroopwafel, kibbling (cod, battered & deep fried) chicken satay, Cheese (edam, young gouda, aged gouda), bitterballen (thick beef stew, rolled in bread crumbs and fried), beer and Jenever (a Dutch spirit that tastes like....... well it's hard to describe but imagine a funky vodka)

Our two favorite aspects of visiting a new city: the food and the history. This tour gave us both! We spent the afternoon with Gerard, an Amsterdam native and terrific guide. He was so knowledgeable, it was a delight to walk around Jordaan with him. We finished the tour with our bellies full of delicious food and a whole new appreciation for this beautiful city.
