  • Watch interactive shows with live actors
  • Prepare to both laugh and be frightened
  • Meet witches, inquisitors, and torturers
Full description
The Amsterdam Dungeon is an uniquely thrilling attraction that will whisk you way back into the Netherlands’ most perilous past. See, hear, feel and (ahem) smell the chillingly amusing characters of the ‘bad old days’ as they come to life before you. Will you lose yourself in fear or in mirth? Whichever way, it’s not looking good for your underwear. Multiple different shows and a team of ten professional actors will give an unforgettable performance which will be terrifying and hilarious at the same time, depending on your tolerance for fear. Some of the attractions include figuring your way out of a dark labyrinth, witnessing a witch burn, encountering the ghost of a tortured woman and being tried by a Spanish Inquisitor. Discover the newest show 'The Flying Dutchman' in which a cursed legend comes to life. Will you survive his revenge? In 1651, you find yourself in a rough bar in the Amsterdam of old. 10 years after the legendary ship The Flying Dutchman disappeared, a sinister bar owner awaits the return of the cursed captain who is out for revenge.

I thought this experience was very interesting, especially if you are a History Buff. There were, however, a few parts that I found was a bit rushed . The actors were all wonderful, both funny and scary at times. The sets were very well done as well as the speical effects that were used. However, if you are easily scared or dont like gory details about the history of the Dungeons i would advise not to go. Overall, very enjoyable and fun experience 😊

Didn’t know what to expect as I have never experienced something like this. It took about an hour all up. It is an interactive experience so be prepared to be asked questions/asked to interact with the guides in each section that you walk through during this experience. Word of advice don’t do this after a big night haha it can be a little full on. And if your a young duck who has decided to go visit a coffee shop in Amsterdam, really think about if this is a good idea to do as it could easily spook you / put you in a bad trip. I was a target for most of the guides lol but although this experience is meant to scare you, you don’t feel unsafe and boundaries are still respected. But other than that it was super cool. All the rooms you go into are well crafted and great effort of detail is in everything! All actors take their job/role seriously and play there character’s really well. It was a unique experience and would do it again. (2 x 28 year olds)

This was such an entertaining show to experience! Very interactive with the small group you’re placed in and the actors played off of the crowd. Both hilarious and jump scary at times, we enjoyed it immensely! We loved that there was an English speaking option for the show as well.
