Witness an authentic demonstration on how Dutch cheese is made. Learn how much milk is needed for one kilogram of cheese and see the equipment that is used to make cheese, all in downtown Amsterdam.
The friendly staff of Henri Willig, donned in traditional Dutch clothing, will explain everything about the cheese-making process in a 5-10 minute demonstration. Afterwards, browse the shop, which also offers a wide selection of souvenirs and other typical Dutch treats such as stroopwafels (syrup waffles) and chocolate.
With over 20 different flavors of Gouda cheese, the choice may not be easy; a sample tasting allows you to try almost all the flavors, making the decision much more manageable.
The experienced staff is also ready to assist you in making your choice between, for example, fenugreek, hot and spicy, and pesto. Grab one to enjoy at home, or to give away as a special gift.
