Exchanging the vouchers for tickets was not easy on the machines in Amsterdam Central so we went to the ticket office and a very patient lady exchanged them for us. After that the travel tickets were invaluable, we used them repeatedly on trains, the Metro, trams and buses. Make sure you touch the ticket on to the reader as they are not contactless, we had some embarassing moments before we realised this! Be aware, though, signage for buses & trams in Amsterdam is poor; the Metro is easier to use but has limited range.

Easy to use on all trams and trains around Amsterdam. Purchasing the voucher was straightforward but on arrival at Schiphol it was not clear where the self serve machines were to get the physical card. I went to the ticket booth and an actual human scanned then printed the tickets. My tip is don’t spend ages looking for the self serve machines, just speak to a friendly ticket seller.

Buying the tickets for the 3 days was the best we could do. They cost us €28 per person and believe me they are amortized. If you are used to taking public transport and as in our case, the lodging is not in the center, it seems to me a success. Although Amsterdam is a comfortable city to walk around, the rain sometimes doesn't help. All OVG transports are included, and the bonus is taken at Central Station on the gray machines as indicated in the description. We use train, subway, bus, tram and even ferry to cross to the north.
