Easy instructions to find bus I don’t feel it was that much faster but about same price as train either way to central where this takes you to connect usually . QR code wouldn’t scan but bus driver let me on easily

Full description

The Amsterdam Airport Express (busline 397) provides a quick and easy transfer from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to the city center of Amsterdam. Departing approxamately every 10 minutes from bus platform B17. This bus takes you directly to Amstelveenseweg, Olympisch Stadion, Haarlemmermeerstation, Emmastraat, Concertgebouw, Museumplein (Rijksmuseum), Leidseplein or Busstation Elandsgracht. From there, you can get to many hotels in Amsterdam very easily. If you travel at night the same bus N97 goes once per hour between 01:00 and 05:00 hrs both directions.

Sit back and relax during the 25 minutes trip while you charge your smartphone, use the free WiFi and check your bus stop on one of the screens. The bus has a low entry so you can bring your luggage inside the bus and keep it with you.

For children 4-11 years you can buy a Kids Day ticket for only 1 euro from the busdriver. Under the age of 4, children travel for free.

Know before you go

  • Services between 5:30 AM and 7:00 PM run approximately every 10 minutes. During other time periods, services run 4 to 6 times per hour. Between 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM, services run once an hour in both directions
  • Your return ticket must be used within 14 days of the date of your arrival journey
  • Tickets are valid on bus lines 397 and N97
  • For children between 4 and 11 years old, you can buy a Kids Day ticket for only 1 euro from the bus driver. Children under the age of 4 travel for free

Bus easy to find at the airport but the qr code on the app was confusing even for the bus driver he just waved us on the bus. If you are located in the centre of Amsterdam it’s quicker to get the train from the airport so next time in Amsterdam I’ll probably use the train
