Full description

The Amsterdam Airport Express provides a quick and easy transfer from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to the city center of Amsterdam. Departing every 8 minutes from bus platform B17. This bus takes you directly to Stadionplein, Emmastraat, Museumplein, Rijksmuseum or Leidseplein. From there, you can get to many hotels in Amsterdam very easily. If you travel at night the same bus N97 goes twice per hour between 1 AM and 5 AM in both directions. Sit back and relax during the 25 minutes trip while you charge your smartphone, use the free WiFi and check your bus stop on one of the screens. The bus has a low entry so you can bring your luggage inside the bus and keep it with you. Great service to and from the city. A bus was waiting already for both legs of the journey, lots of space on board too. Good updates on the screens so you know where you are and how much longer to go. What should be made clearer on the website is the return ticket is valid for 14days from first use so good value if your trip is less than this period. Also, the QR codes on the tickets didn’t actually scan on the bus but the driver was very understanding and helpful on this.

Excellent trip. Really easy to use from the airport to the centre of Amsterdam. Easy to find at the airport, clear stops on the bus so easy to find where to get off. Good instructions and directions in advance and it was helpful to be able to either print off the tickets, use on mobile or download to apple wallet. Highly recommend!!

I'm very happy I chose Amsterdam Airport Express, bus 397. They use less busy roads to get to and from the airport and city centre. They even have a stop exactly at the museums square which makes it easy to visit a museum calmly a few hours before your flight. And then line 397 takes you directly to the airport.
