Full description

Follow the ancient route from Aegiali Bay once used for trading and make the pilgrimage to the Panagia Hozoviotissa Monastery, nestled among the cliffs. Revitalize the body and mind and listen to important cultural history from your guide, before witnessing the breath-taking views of the sea.

Depart from Potamos, a village above Aegiali port and enjoy a moderate and peaceful hike. Visit the abandoned and dry-stone rural settlement of Asfondilitis, and explore where monks once lived in natural caves in Kapsala.

Admire the unrivaled sea view before entering the iconic Monastery of the Virgin Mary. Stroll through the beautiful village of Chora afterwards.

Un must-have si vous venez à Amorgos ! Dimitris était un excellent guide, très à l'écoute des visiteurs, et qui a su s'adapter à mon rythme et à mes envies. J'ai adoré cette journée, tant sur le plan de la randonnée (magnifique) que des anecdotes et du contenu que Dimitris a su me partager. L'arrivée au monastère et sa visite étaient un highlight, et nous avons même prolongé l'expérience en allant visiter Chora et y déjeuner. Je recommande sans hésiter cette activité !!

It was a great hike. The tour guide Dimitri was extremely nice and very attentive. The tour was a bit exhausting but a great experience. Everyone who wants to do this tour, please wear sturdy shoes, then it will be an unforgettable experience.
