1. Amman: Petra, Wadi Rum, and Dead Sea 2-Day Tour

Explore some of Jordan's most spectacular sites on a 2-day, private tour from Amman.  Day 1: Amman - Petra Depart Amman and travel south to Petra. Founded by the Nabateans, Petra is considered one of the wonders of the world. Located 139 miles (225 kilometers) from Amman, Petra was carved in stone more than 2,000 years ago. It dominated the trade routes of ancient Arabia. Upon arrival, walk the narrow path of the Siq to discover the main entrance to the city. At the end of the Siq, see the Treasury (al-Khazneh), which was believed to hold countless treasures. Continue to the monastery and Altar of Sacrifice. Then, transfer to Wadi Rum in the afternoon. Spend the night in a Bedouin camp and enjoy dinner and some nighttime activities. Day 2: Wadi Rum - Dead Sea After breakfast, drive to Wadi Rum by 4WD jeep. Wadi Rum ("Valley of the Moon") is where the legendary film "Lawrence of Arabia" was filmed. Marvel at the unique shape of the mountain as it rises from the rose-red sand of the desert. See towering cliffs of brownish, reddish, and golden colors.  Then transfer to the Dead Sea, famous for the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah. Located 400 meters below sea level, the Dead Sea is one of Jordan's most spectacular sites. Marvel at the calm waters glinting in the scorching sun. Legendary for its high concentration of salt and minerals, the Dead Sea is therapeutic and provides for a unique swimming experience. After some free time to swim, return to your hotel in Amman.

What people are saying about Amman

Absolutely amazing experience, we would definitely recommend. We were a group of 6 people with our awesome guide Jafar (also famously known across the globe as Mr see you tomorrow!!). Jafar made the experience 100 times better with his humour, knowledge and kindness! Best guide we had. The tour started early in the morning - by about 10-11 am we were in Petra with 5 hours free to walk around the sights. This requires a certain amount of fitness and appropriate shoes and clothing. Then we headed to wadi rum just before sunset (again amazing). We had about an hour free time before dinner (delicious jordanian food). The next day we had breakfast at the camp, then 2 hours on the jeeps around the desert and then on our way to the Red and Dead sea. Beware that when we went they would only allow us to be 2 meters from the shore, claiming the beach is closed (but they had a sign it was open). Ladies also take toilet tissue with you as in a lot of the toilet stops we did there was no tissue.

Such a unique experience and a great opportunity to explore the must visit places in Jordan. We really enjoyed the ancient city of Petra, the sunrise tour in Wadi Rum, topped with a swim in the Dead Sea. Our guide, Fares really made sure that our experience is nothing but pleasant, answering all our questions and trowing tips and facts about the country and its culture.

We went to 2 and we spent an exceptional weekend. Everything was as described when subscribing to the stay. A weekend without any pitfalls with a lot of joy and pleasure. Special mention to Qutaibeh our guide, who was great both in terms of tourism and human. I highly recommend!

Amazing tour, perfectly and comfortably organized - overall an unforgettable adventure, totally worth it!

Amazing experience. Magnificent locations, truly memorable and a must see and experience for everyone.
