Enjoy pick-up from the airport and assistance with arrival formalities, then transfer to your hotel in Amman, where you'll spend the night.

Day 2: Amman - City Tour - Walking Tour - Desert Palaces - Amman (approximately 70 km)

Amman: Tour the city and see the most interesting sights, like the imposing citadel, wonderful temple and lovely church. A visit to the museum is of course on the agenda as well.

As the day goes on, head to Jerash, home of perhaps the best preserved Roman church in the Middle East. Then continue to the Hippodrome and the incredible Southern Gate. Admire the Temple of Zeus and walk in the footsteps of the ancient Romans in the theater. The Cardo Maximus and Temple of Artemis are sure to excite.

Drive into the eastern desert and take in the splendor of the Umayyad Palace, built in the early days of Islam in the 8th century ACE. This exciting and strenuous day concludes with a return to Amman.

Day 3: Amman - Jerash - Ajloun - Dibbin (approximately 60 km)

The ancient city of Jerah has been settled by people for over 6,500 years, with its golden age occurring under Roman rule. Today, the cities are regarded as the best-preserved Roman settlements in the world. Hidden under the sands for centuries, in the last 70 years they have been excavated and faithfully restored.

In Jerash, see the way life took place in the cities of the Roman provinces found all over the Middle East. Admire the impressive columns, rolling hills, temples, theaters, spacious squares, baths, fountains and a momentous city wall with towers and gates.

Enjoy the exciting expanse of the pine woods of the Dibeen Forest Reserve and admire the towering Arab-Islamic Ajloun Castle. See how the wonders of nature and the genius of the medieval Arabian military architects of Northern Jordan created 2 of the most famous ecological and historic sights in the Middle East, helped by the defeat of the crusaders 800 years before. Ajloun Castle (Qul'at Ar-Rabad) was built by Saladin in the year 1184 ACE, to tax the ore mines in Ajloun and to control the progress of the advancing crusaders into the 3 main routes to the Jordan Valley and protect the routes between Jordan and Syria.

In Dibbin, see the largest area of native pine trees (Halepensis) in Jordan, on limestone hills and the highest hills in the north of the land. Many recreations areas are also nearby. Feel free to use their grill and play areas or visit a restaurant. Relax in this beautiful area of nature and reflect back upon your day.

Day 4: Dibbin - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Makawir - Wadi Mujib - Al-Karak - Dana (approximately 400 km)

A new and exciting day begins in Makawir with a visit to the Basilica of St. George. Admire the floor of the church, decorated with mosaics of the holy land from the 6th century. See how over 2 million colorful stones were used to create pictures of hills, valleys and cities of the holy land.

Then visit Mount Nebo, the over 800-meter-high mountain where Moses once stood and saw the promised land.

See the incredible view of the landscape by the east coast of the Dead Sea from the lowest nature reserve in the world, the Mujib Reserve. The reserve extends over Al-Karak and the Madaba Mountains in the north and south and rises in some places to 900 meters above sea level.

As the day goes on, visit the best-preserved crusader castle in Jordan - Kerak Castle. See the Dana Nature Reserve, which covers over 308 square kilometers. It is a true paradise of natural treasures and is managed by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN). Admire its hills and valleys, which extend from the top of the Jordan Rift Valley into the lowlands of the Wadi Araba desert.

As another experience-rich day comes to an end, head to your accommodation in Dana and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 5: Dana - Wadi Finan - Beidha - Petra (approximately 50 km)

Deep in the remote expanse of the Wadi Ararba, enjoy an unforgettable and unparalleled stay at the Feynan Lodge, the western gateway to the Dana Biosphere Reserve.

Beyond Umm Sayhun, north of Petra, follow the winding streets to a rugged landscape with incredible rock formations the color of pale honey. This area is called Al-Beidha, which means "the white" in Arabic.

Take a few steps away from the main road to an opening in the rocks to the largest reservoirs in the Nabatean city of Petra, still in use today by the local Ammarin Bedouin Camp. A giant room has been chiseled from the interior of the rock to save the precious water for the important farmlands and northern suburbs.

As this unforgettable day draws to a close, spend the night in Petra.

Day 6: Petra - Full Day Visit - Wadi Rum (approximately 70 km)

Take a fascinating tour of Petra. Enjoy the nature and let the incredible architecture excite you. Stroll through Siq, a small and vibrantly-colored gorge leading to the Treasury.

Admire the graves of the former kings, the wonderful Roman theater, enchanting temples and museums.

If you like, hike up to the monastery or sacrificial area. Often described as the eighth wonder of the ancient world, Petra is the crown jewel of Jordan and the most beloved tourist attraction. The Nabateans hewed their city from rock for over 2,000 years to build Petra, which became a crucial hub for silk and spices connecting trade routes between China, India and Saudi Arabia with Egypt, Syria, Greece and Rome.

In the 14th century, Petra was lost to the west for over 300 years. However, in 1812, a Swiss man named Johann Ludwig Burckhardt convinced his guide to take him to the seemingly lost city. Burkhardt made notes and sketches and wrote, "It seems very likely that the ruins of Wadi Musa are of the old city of Petra."

After an exciting day, return to Wadi Rum for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Wadi Rum

TE Lawrence described Wadi Rum as"vast, echoing and godlike." Jordan's largest and most beautiful desert is an unbelievable, vast place almost untouched and undisturbed by man. A majestic labyrinth of monolithic rocks rise from the ground to heights of over 1750 meters in some places, challenging even experienced hikers.

Enjoy the stillness of the unending desert and discover little areas of water and reservoirs. See up to 4,000-year-old rock drawings and many other spectacular gems in this incredible wilderness.

Conclude the day with a return to your accommodation.

Day 8: Wadi Rum - Aqaba - Wadi Arava - Dead Sea (approximately 240 km)

Jordan is known as the window to the sea and Aqaba offers a refreshment after the pink desert. The sandy beaches and coral reefs offshore are the most pristine by the Dead Sea. The Jordanians are well aware of the treasures this sea holds and are conscientious of conserving it.

The beautiful turquoise blue waters off the coast of Aqaba offer a truly unparalleled view of the kaleidoscopic underwater world. Take a comfortable boat ride then swim around the reef for a little while. Experience the unusual vertical currents and the cool sea breeze as you discover the diversity under the sea. The Aqaba Reef simply blooms and sparkles with a multitude of coral and fish. Admire branch coral, fungia, montipora and even the rare archelia and watch the clownfish, triggerfish, gobies, sea anemones, parrotfish, pipefish and many other types of fish at play. Enjoy snorkeling, fishing, sailing or take a ride in a glass-bottomed boat.

The Dead Sea has a unique historical and spiritual legacy, assumed to be one of the 5 biblical cities (Sodom, Gomorrah, Adama, Seboim and Segor). At the now sparsely-populated eastern bank, enjoy a bit of peace and quiet and relax. The land has been almost unchanged since ancient times and more tourists fall under its spell every day.

Enjoy the sun, go swimming or try some delicious food. Immerse yourself in reverie in the slowly lapping waters and feel amazement as you do not sink. Before you go, indulge in a soothing massage or sample some of the famous healing minerals of the Dead Sea and its sludgy floor.

On your final night, stay in a comfortable hotel with an incredible view of the West Bank. Watch an exceptionally-beautiful sunset over the West Bank.
