What people are saying about Amman
Our driver picked us up promptly at our hotel in Amman and drove us to Madaba, where we visited a beautiful church with ancient mosaics. Then we proceeded (optionally) to a "mosaic school" where we briefly watched students creating mosaics and pottery. We were offered tea or coffee. Then we were able to purchase items if we chose. We were told that proceeds benefited charitable causes. Next we were driven to Mount Nebo. Lots of history there. It was hazy in the afternoon so we did not see the "Promised Land" but the site was clean and well kept. There is a modern church there in which Mass was being held so we were respectfully quiet. There are ancient mosaics laid out on the floor of the church. Bear in mind that this tour was for transportation only. At both Madaba and Nebo there are opportunities to hire guides for a small fee. Having ridden in taxis and with other drivers in and around Amman we felt safe in the vehicle with our very courteous driver. Buy the Jordan Wanderer Pass!
An excellent organized trip, perfectly safe and comfortable, totally worth its money! You will get the chance to visit the top sites in Jordan, completely carefree and relaxed since everything else is taken care for you! Group of 7 is a great asset, very flexible and easily manageable, creating a friendly, team atmosphere. You will have a lot of time to enjoy the visiting areas and you will get all the extra info and tips from the local guides. All guides are fluent in english, very experienced and helpful. Many thanks to Ahmad, our local guide in Petra, and a very special thank you to our amazing guide, JAFAR, who took care of us throughout the whole 2-day tip - he is very professional, friendly and inspiring - "see you tomorrow"!
I initially booked wanting to see Petra only, but I am very glad the tour also took us to Jaresh and Amman. The recovered past civilisation buildings are terrific, and the guide, Emad was knowledgeable, and engaging. The Bedouin camp was very different to staying in a hotel, but I liked it. Petra is terrific, and the rest of the tour was very interesting. Remember to bring Jordanian money, as there is no access to money changers or an ATM when you leave the Israel/ Jordan border.
Ja'far is knowledgeable, charismatic, and truly invested in the group having the best time possible while on his tour. I have already recommended him to multiple friends visiting the area in the future. As an added bonus, he is an accomplished photographer and took fantastic photos of the group during the trip which he shared with us afterwards. Five stars all around for Ja'far and Jordan Private Tours.
The 3 day trip was awesome and we touched all the highlights of Jordan. From the Jordan valley to Petra, from Wadi Rum to floating on the dead sea, the three of us and our driver navigated with ease in a relaxing pace to allow us to enjoy the environment and lovely Jordanian people. We would would highly recommend this experience.
