Lancaster: Amish Experience Visit-in-Person Tour of 3 Farms

Lancaster: Amish Experience Visit-in-Person Tour of 3 Farms

Take a 3-hour authentic exploration into the world and lives of real Amish people. Your driver and guide will pick you up at the Amish Experience Theater building and take you in groups of no more than 14 to 3 authentic, real Amish farms not normally open to the public. At the farms, you’ll have the unique opportunity to ask questions directly of the Amish community members. Your Amish hosts are very open and welcoming to visitors from all around the world, and eager to share their lives with you. Over 30 Amish households are involved in this tour, so each day is a different set of stops. Nothing is scripted; have a free-wheeling discussion that varies between many different topics. As well, you’ll see how their farms operate and watch a crafting demonstration in a functioning workshop.

Lancaster County: Amish Farmlands Tour & Family-Style Dinner

Lancaster County: Amish Farmlands Tour & Family-Style Dinner

Enjoy a traditional Amish family-style meal, served at the home of one of the Amish neighbors. Combine the expertise of two Amish families to offer a guided tour in a 14-passenger mini bus, which culminates with a wonderful PA Dutch meal, cooked and served by the Amish at their home. Depart from the Amish Experience (3121 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-in-Hand, PA 17505) at 4:30 PM sharp on our 14 passenger mini-bus. Do an hour of farmland touring, making a quick stop at an Amish road-side quilt or craft shop, and then arrive at the farm for the meal at 5:30 PM. Enjoy a menu of delicious, hearty, authentic Amish favorites. The Amish family prepares the food in a fully licensed, inspected, and ServSafe certified kitchen, but they don’t have the space to host the meal. So, another Amish family hosts the meal. They have the room for hosting guests, but not the commercial kitchen. Guests who go on this tour need to be able to ascend and descend a full flight of stairs. After the meal, return to the Amish Experience at around 7:00 PM.

Everything was very well explained, but for people who don't speak English it would be good to have a translator.
