This was my favorite tour I did of the Amazon. I saw some gorgeous plants, some fascinating animals, and the tour guide was great. You will definitely see bats and enjoy swimming with some fish. Bring clothes that are easy to change in or wear your swimsuit under! The only comment I would have would be to request the tour use a more environmental food place. The place they take you to serves animal products and animal products are highly destructive to the planet. With a plant based restaurant or at least plant based food for everyone on the tour I would say this tour was perfect.

  • Amazonas: Boat Ride with a Local Amazonian

    7. Amazonas: Boat Ride with a Local Amazonian

See over a hundred houses floating on a lake, built on logs of a local tree that lasts for over 50 years in the water. Visit a "Pirarucu" fish farm, navigate through the flooded forest, known as "Igapó" and discover the phenomenon of two rivers meeting together. Enjoy beautiful scenery, while passing by boat at the same level of the canopy of some trees, with rivers reaching over 15 meters high. Visit a "Pirarucu" fish farm of the largest fish, reaching over two meters long and as heavy 250 kilos. Play with these river monsters with a fishing rod (without hook, so you don't harm them) and have fun, while feeling the power of their bite. Marvel at one of the most impressive and intriguing world phenomenons, when two rivers, so different in color, velocity, temperature and density run side by side without mixing their waters. Be invited to touch the waters, while passing from one river t...

Despite being the only person on this particular tour, I had an incredible time. At first the tour seemed a bit slow as it takes quite a long time to get away from Manaus city to where the activities are, but once we were there everything was so great. Leo’s team - Aldinei, Raymond and Antonio - really went the extra mile to make the experience once in a lifetime, even including activities not included in the official itinerary (as the river was too low to see the giant water lilies). The food was really good - all fresh water fish from the river. It is quite rustic overall - the boat is not a floating hotel - but if you enjoy camping and outdoor activities it is a wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour.

Wait wait I changed everything!!! I did a few tours with Milton!!! Book with him!! 150% recommended!!! Milton is out of this world stupendous!!! He made me feel 100% safe, taken care of, and he and his team of local guides showed so many great things!!! I felt for 4 days I was a local who had an inside track on EVERYTHING in the area!!! He was very trusting, very thorough, fast on his feet, in a place that does not lend itself to any of this. It felt like I booked one simple “Rubber boom tour” and through many small bumps in the road and twists and turns due to unforeseen circumstance like the pandemic. and weather, and logistics, instead of those things derailing my plans with Milton and his crew of locals it actually made the trip blossomed into a multifaceted multi day event of many tours which allowed me a behind the scenes tour of nearly all the highlights of this amazing part of the world called Manaus!!! MILTON AND HIS CREW ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you love the nature - I highly recommend do this tour. The tour guides are real masters about the jungle and provide so much knowledge and expertise. I saw animals from monkeys, pink dolphins to green parrots and Tarantulas. We hiked trough the jungle, built bow and arrow from the trees there - it was incredible. We are in the jungle so mostly the animals are very well hidden!

We enjoyed the excursion very much. The organization is at the highest level. We contacted the guide before the start of the tour and clarified all the important nuances. Due to the restrictions due to the pandemic, we did not visit all the planned places, but thanks to our guide, the trip turned out to be as rich and interesting as possible. The guide was very attentive and patient. I told a lot of interesting things. The food was delicious home-style. In two days we saw all the most important and interesting! We were very, very satisfied!

Milton was awesome. Very knowledgeable and very accommodating. He also cares about the community which is wonderful to see. He adjusted the trip to our wishes and made the whole experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend him!
