What to Expect
Discover the unique phenomenon of the Meeting of the Waters of the Rio Negro and Amazon River, or Rio Solimões, as the upper section of the Amazon River is known in Brazil. The full-day tour from Manaus sails by speedboat to an Indian village, where you will interact with the Indians of the Dessanos and Tucanos.

Visit a jungle pharmacy and watch the Indians going about their daily activities. Meet the shaman of the tribe, and see and purchase lovely handmade Indian handicrafts.

Pause for lunch at the Jungle Queen floating restaurant to sample regional food, before continuing to the Meeting of the Waters, where the dark waters of the Rio Negro mix with the sandy colored waters of the Amazon.

Take a canoe trip into the flooded forests, where piranha fishing is a popular activity. Go to a pirarucu fish nursery to see one of the largest freshwater fishes in the world.
