Explore the Amazon on a 3-day guided tour. Take a trip on the river, meet a local tribe, and admire stunning jungle landscapes. Day 1After pickup from Iquitos airport, head straight to the Port of Nanay to board a boat. Sail to where the Nanay River meets the Amazon. Take a 2.5-hour trip along the Amazon River to the lodge where you will be staying. Enjoy lunch and a chance to relax in the lodge's hammock room. Next, visit an eco-butterfly farm and a riverside eco-village. Return to the lodge for dinner before spotting tarantulas, snakes, insects, and birds on a night excursion. Day 2Get up early to watch the sunrise. Spot herons, eagles, parakeets, and exotic birds. Then, return to the lodge for breakfast and free time. After lunch, fish for piranhas and more. Enjoy the sunset, followed by dinner and traditional Amazonian tales back at the lodge. Day 3After breakfast, set off on a botanical plant walk and search for lianas. Enjoy lunch at the lodge before checking out and heading back to Iquitos. From there, be transferred to your hotel or the airport by motorcycle taxi.

Journey to the Amazon Rainforest for a two-day guided excursion by boat and on foot. Enjoy a glimpse into the rhythm of jungle life as you navigate waterways, search for wildlife, and discover medicinal plants and their uses. Along the way, immerse yourself in indigenous history and traditions. Your tour begins when you meet your guide at the airport or hotel for pickup. Travel to the Nanay River Port, where you'll embark on a riverboat and head towards the Nanay and Amazon river crossing. At the Itaya-Amazon crossing, pause to search for dolphins. Cruise along for 2.5 hours. Admire the sights and sounds of the rainforest as you continue your tour, navigating through the tributary, Río Yanayacu. Arrive at the hostel and enjoy a welcome and lunch. After your meal, set out on a hike to spot medicinal plants, strangler trees, sloths, toucans, and other diurnal species. As the sunlight begins to wane, soak up the sight of the sunset over the rainforest before partaking in dinner. Once the night has set in, embark again on an evening walk – this time to search for tarantulas, amphibians, alligators, and more nocturnal fauna. Then, return to the lodge to rest. The following morning, rise early to bask in the rays of the sunrise and see the swooping flocks of herons, eagles, parrots, and other exotic birds. Tuck into your breakfast, then explore the Yanayacu River. Fish for piranhas, palometas, and tarpon and look for iguanas. Spend the rest of the morning rafting and admiring the diversity of plant life. If you wish, you‘ll also have the opportunity to visit the Yaguas community. Have lunch and enjoy about 1.5 hours of leisure time before departing for Iquitos, where you'll be taken back to the hotel or airport. 

Set sail from the pier of the Iquitos Boulevard and cruise down the Itaya River to meet the Amazon River. Visit a center that specializes in the breeding of paiches, fish also known as piracuru, as well as piranhas, macaws, lizards, and turtles. For a one-of-a-kind experience, try feeding these animals. Head to the great pond filled with the famous Victoria amazonica lily pads, the world’s largest leaves. Then, proceed to the Amazon viewpoint, which promises magical vistas over the legendary surrounding landscape. Enjoy some downtime on the hammocks, while taking in impressive views of the jungle and the Amazon River. Then, take a 15-minute walk into the jungle to see the gigantic and mythical Lupuna tree, said to possess magical properties and considered the protectors of the jungle. Before returning to the city, visit the Serpentary, where you can see the anaconda’s cage.

Your tour will begin when you set sail from your meeting point at the pier of Iquitos Boulevard, cruising down the three main rivers surrounding the city of Iquitos: Itaya, Amazonas, and Nanay.  Once you’re out on the Amazon, you might see dolphins and red buffaloes swimming around you. You’ll then continue on past the city before stopping to meet the indigenous community of the Kukama, where you’ll have the chance to get to know their dances and customs and to learn about their culture.  After the visit, you’ll take a walk along the shore of the community of Father Cocha and learn about the curious history of its founder. In a nearby location, you’ll visit the Pilpintuwasi, a butterfly farm where you'll learn about the life cycles and breeding habits of these beautiful creatures. When the tour ends, you’ll return by boat to Iquitos Boulevard.

Take a break from the pollution and noise of the city on this guided tour of the Amazon jungle. Be one with nature as you go through the Amazon river, and see the diverse fauna and flora the forest has to offer. On the first day, take a boat through the Nanay River to reach the majestic Amazon River, the largest in the world. Visit Fundo Pedrito before lunch and go on a canoe ride in the afternoon. On the last day, further explore the jungle by trekking, and stop by the 500-year old Huimba tree. Marvel at its imposing height of up to 160 feet and width of 10 feet in diameter. Afterward, enjoy one last lunch at the lodge before heading back to the airport or your hotel.

Spend four days and three nights immersed in the natural landscapes and wildlife of the Peruvian Amazon in Iquitos on an adventurous Amazon rainforest tour. Day 1:Following pickup in Iquitos, meet your guide and walk through the city center to see the parent church, Casa de Hierro, Malecón Maldonado, and historical houses of the rubber era. Get transferred to the river port to hop on a motor boat. Navigate the Itaya River on a 15-minute ride, then enter the second-longest river in the world, the Amazon. Search for gray and pink dolphins as you cruise up to the lodge. Upon arrival, disembark and enjoy a welcome fruity soda. Check in to private bungalows followed by a typical lunch. In the afternoon, walk through the jungle to learn more about the flora, fauna, and biodiversity of the area. At night, take another walk through the jungle. Listen to a variety of sounds emitted by batrachian insects, birds, and more. Enjoy dinner and stories narrated by the guide. Spend the rest of the night in the lodge. Day 2:Start your day with birdwatching on foot or by canoe. Refuel with breakfast before starting an excursion to visit a riverside habitat where you can find non-poisonous constrictors, sloths, turtles, and other unique wildlife. Roll up your sleeves and learn how to make artisanal juice using sugarcane, then savor the flavors of your creation. Return to the lodge for a typical lunch. Visit Pueblo de la Ribera, and watch the sunset (weather permitting) before dinner and another night in the lodge. Day 3:Enjoy breakfast before fishing on the banks of the Amazon River for catfish, piranhas, and more. Observe the Victoria Regia, the largest aquatic plant in the world, before returning to the lodge for lunch. Later, tour the contour of the area, learning about the plants and trees by the riverside whose fruits are used for their medicinal power. Admire the historic rubber (balata) tree, cedar, and the voluptuous Lupuna. Sleep overnight at the lodge after dinner. Day 4:Have breakfast before joining a canoe excursion on the banks of the Amazon to observe birds, iguanas, and other local wildlife. Enjoy free time to read, rest in one of the hammocks, and take photos of the view. Following lunch, depart back to Iquitos for hotel drop-off. On the way, visit the native community of Bora Bora to learn about the community's customs, dialect, clothing, and typical dances. Bring objects to exchange for local handmade crafts.

Day 1 - Transportation from the airport or hotel. Walk through the Plaza de Armas, Matriz church, Casa de Fierro, boardwalk and historic houses from the rubber era. Transfer to the river port to board the outboard motor boat. We will navigate the Itaya river for 15 minutes, and then enter the longest and mightiest river in the world, the Amazon, a natural wonder of the World. On the way, look for gray dolphins and pink dolphins. We will sail up the Amazon river to the lodge. Welcome with a seasonal fruit drink. General information from the guides and check in of private cabins. Excursion through the jungle recognizing the great biodiversity of the Flora & Fauna area. Lunch will be a Typical dish. Free time to photograph or film birds. Moment to witness the extraction of sugar cane juice in an artisanal way, we will taste the juice and some derivatives such as cane rum and molasses - honey. Dinner. Night walk or canoe excursion depending on the season. Insects, frogs, nocturnal birds and sounds. Jungle stories and tales narrated by the guide. Night at the lodge Day 2 - Morning, Search for birds in their habitat, walking or canoeing. Breakfast. Visit a riverside resident who will show us non-venomous boa constrictors, sloth bears, turtles, among others. Typical lunch. Return to the city of Iquitos and visit the native Bora group, customs, dialect, clothing, typical dances, it is recommended to bring some objects to exchange with the crafts that are made by hand. Arrival to the city of Iquitos. Transfer to the airport or Hotel.

After meeting your guide, you’ll head straight to the Nanay River Port, where you’ll hop on a boat bound for the jungle. Head up the Amazon River for a brief half-hour cruise before arriving at your lodge for the night. After finding your room and settling in with a small snack, you’ll head off on a guided walk through the jungle. Coming back to the lodge, you’ll enjoy a lunch of fish, legumes, and rice. Heading back into the jungle, you’ll find some of the largest trees in the area, as well as climb to the top of an exquisite viewpoint. On the way back, you’ll admire the technicolor jungle sunset, keeping your eyes peeled for green tree frogs. After dinner, you’ll retire for the evening in your river-view room. Waking up bright and early at 5:00 AM, you’ll catch the sunrise from the top of the lodge over breakfast. You’ll start the day’s touring by visiting a farm for lizards, piranhas, and pirarucus, one of the largest freshwater fish in the world. Afterwards, you’ll visit an animal rescue center, home to sloths and giant anacondas. After lunch, you’ll have some free time to wander and relax before heading back to Iquitos.

PICK UP Hotel or Airport with a member of the YAKUMAMA AMAZON TOURS team (naturalist guide) who will be there waiting to receive you, then we will take a private car (1 hour ½, approx.) to go to the city of Nauta, (Nauta port located on the Marañón River), then we will take our typical wooden-roofed boat to navigate approximately 5 hours to the Lodge, along the Pacaya Samiria, (our lodge is located in the reserva pacaya samiria). During this first navigation, you may see some activities of river birds, dolphins and river people. LUNCH TIME: Table Service / Self-service Buffet. CULTURAL VISIT TO THE LOCAL RIVER VILLAGE - The river people always live in small villages along the river, because the river is their main way to go everywhere, to get fish to eat and sell, some villages do not have treated water at home so sometimes they get water from the river or from the rain, this jungle dweller tries their best to live here by getting the supplies from nature and others make very beautiful handicrafts to get some money. SWIMMING / WATCHING PINK AND GRAY DOLPHINS - Combined with Sunset! SUNSET ON THE RIVER -Do you think it is almost impossible to see a sunset and not dream? Do not lose hope!!! You will fully enjoy the sunset in nature, jumping between dew-covered trees or sailing along a seemingly calm river called the Amazon. A perfect moment in between (5:45 to 6:15) to appreciate one of the most impressive flashes of sun on the mighty Amazon River and also a splendid glow in the sky. The 4-day activity includes the first day the pick up from your hotel, if you want to pick up from the airport you must add an extra, the first day offers lunch and dinner, the second and third day the 3 full meals and the 4th day only breakfast and lunch after that we will be leaving back to iquitos to arrive in the city at around 5:00 pm.
