The best way to experience the Amalfi Coast is by private boat with a local captain. Cruise along the world-renowned coast and over to the island of Capri. Discover the area’s hidden gems, dine on local cuisine, and swim in the sparkling Mediterranean.
What to Expect
Hire a private boat with a local captain and take in the top sights of the Amalfi Coast on a fun and relaxed 6-hour excursion. Stop for a swim in different bays and lagoons, explore caves along the coast, and cruise to the island of Capri.
Start out in Amalfi and head leisurely along the coastline past Furore, Conca dei Marini, and Praiano. Marvel at the scenic beauty of the world-famous Amalfi Coast!
Cruise past Positano and to the private islands of Li Galli, once owned by the famous Russian ballet dancer Rudolf Nuryev. A highlight now is the underwater nature preserve.
Nerano is an idyllic fishing town with a lovely beach, where the captain will stop so you can enjoy the view and swim in the crystal-clear water. The restaurants in Nerano are well known for dishes that feature fresh seafood and local produce.
From Nerano your captain will continue on to Punto Campanella, the point where the Amalfi Coast ends and the Sorrento Coast begins, before you head to Capri.
Cruise around the entire island of Capri, exploring caves and swimming in crystal-clear bays. Marvel at the Blue, Green, and White grottoes.
Your captain will take the boat through Capri’s iconic faraglioni rock formations. Pass by the historic lighthouse, Casa Malaparte, Marina Piccola, and Marina Grande.
Take some time to explore the island on foot. Go shopping, tour villas, and don’t forget to try the gelato!
At the end of a satisfying day you’ll head back to Salerno or your final destination as the sun sets behind the island.

Know Before You Go
It’s a good idea to wear a bathing suit under your clothes, and bring flip flops, sunscreen, sunglasses and a camera.
It’s also a good idea to book this excursion at the beginning of your vacation so if for some reason the weather is not cooperating, it can be rebooked on a later day!
Please note, you will be traveling in a traditional Sorrentine wooden, open boat. There will be no cabin or restroom available onboard.
