From Albir, Altea, Benidorm & Calpe: Valencia City Excursion

Valencia is Spain´s 3rd largest city and capital to the Costa Blanca. Situated, some two hours by coach from Albir, Altea, Benidorm & Calpe, the beautiful city of Valencia is definitely worth a visit for those looking to immerse themselves in the culture and tradition that this city has to offer. The city has roots dating back to the Romans, who founded a colony on the shores of the Turia river in 138 a.c. and today is the perfect mix of contemporary versus tradition, with stunning architecture through the ages that proudly stand, helping to tell the story and history of Valencia. Your journey will start with a pickup by air-conditioned coach from one of the points in Albir, Altea Benidorm or Calpe*. Once everyone is on board, the travelling time to Valencia is around 2 hours. On arrival, you will be given 5-hours of free time to explore the city and all it has to offer. The drop off point in Valencia is at the Torres de Serranos, gateway to the historic part of the city and just a short walk from the cathedral and main center. One of the best ways to see the city is with an official guide and you will have the option to purchase a guided walking tour of the old part of the city, taking in some of the most emblematic buildings that will last around 75 to 80 minutes at a cost of just 8€ per person. This is to be paid on the day to the representative on the coach. Those wishing to visit the Oceanografic (sea world) centre or the Mestalla football ground, can do so as "optional extras" which the representative on the day will explain to you. Prices can vary depending on the seasons but full details and correct prices will be given to you on the day of your trip. Valencia is a very large city and can get very busy at certain times of the year. The excursion will be accompanied by an English speaking representative who will confirm timings and meeting points on the day. The return journey will be made with drop offs at the original meeting points being made in reverse order, starting at the last pickup point made and always finishing in Albir. Services from Calpe and Altea are only availble from June to November. Please be aware that Valencia is some distance away from Albir, Altea, Benidorm and Calpe and travelling time plus time making pickups and drop offs should be taken into account prior to booking. Activity duration times are only a guideline and can vary.

My first time driving a buggy and was a little nervous but it was so thrilling! Would definitely do again. Was a lovely 2 hour drive through some very sandy paths, so you will get messy, but worth it for the views.
