    Innsbruck's Alpine Zoo is unique worldwide in its function as an Alpine theme-zoo. Observe several species of animals that can only be found within the alp region. It is extremely family friendly but also offers a great variety of activities for grown ups. It is situated on the sunny side of the Inn valley, directly at the foot of the Nordkette and high above Innsbruck's rooftops. With the combi-ticket Alpine Zoo, the zoo is comfortably reachable from the city center. It is only a few minutes directly from the Congress Station to the Alpine Zoo station with the Hungerburg funicular. From there the entrance of the Alpine Zoo is only a few meters away. Your combi-ticket Alpine Zoo includes a round trip with the Hungerburg funicular and the entrance to the Alpine Zoo.

    Die Fahrt mit der Hungerburgbahn verlief problemlos. Leider ist es in den Kabinen im Hochsommer sehr heiß, es gibt keine Klimaanlage. Der Zoo ist wirklich schön gestaltet und man sieht Tiere, die man sonst in keinem Zoo so gut beobachte kann. Wir haben einen Schwarzspecht bei der Arbeit beobachtet. Der Spielplatz am Eingang bzw. Ausgang ist ebenfalls sehr schön und gepflegt.

    Hat alles reibungslos funktioniert. Voucher (bevorzugt ausgedruckt) konnte an der Station Congress gegen die Tickets eingelöst werden. Hungerburgbahn fährt alle 15 Minuten. An der Station Alpenzoo angekommen sind es noch ca. 5 Gehminuten, über eine asphaltierte Straße. Am Zoo kann man direkt mit den Tickets an der Kassenschlange vorbei und durch das Drehkreuz gehen. Kleiner, netter Zoo mit heimischen Tieren. Viel bergauf, dafür auch tolle Aussicht

    Der Innsbrucker Alpenzoo ist immer einen Besuch Wert. Wunderschön da gemütlich durchzugehen und die Tiere zu beobachten. Fairerweise gehört angemerkt (und unbedingt auf dem Voucher vermerkt!), dass der Voucher NUR bei der Kassa in der Station Congress umgetauscht werden kann. Und nur dort! Beim Automaten in der Station Löwenhaus ist das nicht möglich. Dafür war die Dame dankenswerterweise schon vorbereitet und der Umtausch ging schnell.
