What People Are Saying About Alþingi
Despite the weather the tour went like clockwork. The tour guide was very knowledgable and provided some interesting facts on Iceland and the wonderful scenery around us. It was a great day and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Iceland.
We enjoyed seeing natural phenomena we'd not seen elsewhere and the ancient sites of the parliament and bishop's seat. The guide was an excellent communicator and had a great sense of humour, and the driver chatted to us on one of the stops which was nice. As the trip kept to time we actually made a couple of unscheduled stops, at another waterfall with a salmon ladder and a farm which trained horses (though they were not particularly friendly). The lamb soup at the lunch stop was delicious and also, the toilet facilities at all the main stops were well maintained and clean.
This was a special Tour whale watching & Golden circle the Grayline company picked us up from the ship and bring us back to the ship/harbor! The Tour was excellent , our Guide "Wil-Willi" explain us everthing from Iceland at it was very intresting ! Thanks a lot to "willi and lulli (chauffeur) for this great Tour Day!!!!!!!!!
A tour to start with in Iceland! The guide offers a lot information and ask all of your questions! I really recommend it!
I was picked up 30 minutes after I was supposed to be but once I was transferred to the bus station we left straight away. The staff aboard the whale watching boat were really helpful and informative. We only got to see one minki whale and a small school of dolphins from about 150 meters away. But this was not from lack of trying from the crew, just luck of the draw. After the 3 boat trip we were informed we were to wait to be picked up presently to be transferred to the bus station where we could grab something to eat before heading off on the second half of the trip. We waited over 30 minutes and when the bus did arrive we sat at the harbour for another 5-10 minutes for no apparent reason. When we finally arrived we asked about getting a sandwich at the place there but were informed by a arrogant tour guide that there was no time to eat and we couldn't east on the bus..... this tour guide was also wiping crumbs from his mouth after apparently just eating his lunch on the bus.
