Full description
We will discover the work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, who has several buildings that have become icons of the city. It is a scientific and cultural leisure complex better known as the City of Arts and Sciences. We will discover the very Holy Chalice inside the Cathedral, feel the emotion in the Basilica of the Virgin of the Forsaken and get to know the Central Market with all its stalls full of top-quality fresh food. Rest enjoying some tapas in the sun on one of its terraces and continue with the Lonja de la Seda, a jewel of civil Gothic. And, if you have any strength left, you cannot miss the so-called Valencian Sistine Chapel: The Church of San Nicolás. We will finish the tour centre in "La Albufera de Valencia" which was declared a natural park in 1986; however, its history goes back much further in time. Before returning to Alicante we will make a stop to captivate ourselves with its splendor and its charm that attracts unprecedented fauna and flora. We will know more about its history and natural value for the ecosystem of the region.
