Silvina, our guide messaged us to meet us at the back if the market. We then spent two hours in her company, tasting various local foods and wines. Our favourite was the marinera, with a rosemary smoked anchovy on top. The wines we tasted were all locally produced and of a high standard. We bought acouple of bottles, that you wouldn't get in the supermarkets and they were cheaper too. We had lots of little tastings, including, cheese, lomo, sardines, mussels, tomatoes, nougat, to name but a few! Throughout the tour our guide, who was such a nice person, filled us in on the history of Alicante and the origins of the food types we had. Overall, a very worthwhile experience!

We had such a wonderful time with Silvina. Despite it being a public holiday, she conjured up the best tour for us and introduced us to beautiful Alicante with her friendly manner. We immediately felt as if a friend was showing us her city. All of our wishes were met and her tips made the days that followed in the area simply wonderful! We can recommend this tour without hesitation.
