The tour was excellent, as a small group with an informed guide. There was less to actually see than one had expected. Some information boards and models to augment the guide would have been helpful eg: - tables of salt production by year and the number of workers involved. - Interviews with former and present workers, with stories of incidents eg how machinery dismantled and taken down the mine. - Maps of where salt has been sent, since the mine opened, showing how this has changed with time. - Chemical composition of the salt showing the colour produced by the different elements etc. - 3 D model of mine showing tour route.

Brilliant guide, super interesting and a great once in a lifetime experience. We weren't sure what to expect when we turned up to an industrial estate and a yard with sofas outside, but so glad it didn't put us off. Brilliant guide who could answer all of our questions and out 10 year old loved it.

A must see for all travellers. A vast mine 750ft deep. Well ventilated and lit and no cramped spaces. The guide Alex was fantastic and had exceptional knowledge around how the mine operates. I'd definitely recommend this tour as it's something out of the ordinary and a fascinating sight
