Loulé: TechSalt’s Rock-Salt Mine Tour

This is a really great tour, that i would encourage anyone to go to. As long as you don’t mind the small lift that takes you down to the mine itself (we didn’t!). The tour guide (Adriana) was really lovely and knowledgeable and the mine itself and its history is very interesting. The fact that it is still an active mine, adds to the level of interest! A must go to attraction.

The experience at the salt mine was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Seemed a little disorganized when we arrived but they were dealing with the 1st group, so we waited patiently. Don’t worry if other people show up and push to the “front” of the line. (Many did) Everyone goes down the same tiny elevator, a few at a time and are required to wait at the bottom for the rest of the party, before the tour continues. Our guide was very knowledgeable and well spoken, adding to the experience. If you have the chance, I’d highly recommend this tour!!
