From Lagos: Kayaking and Boat Cave Explorer Tour

This experience was the best I 've could have thought of! It literally turned a grey and cold day into an amazing memory! It started on the boat, where Peter (our guide) and Thiago (our skipper) have warmly welcomed us on. Peter has then explained the basics to paddle a kayak and did not miss any chance to make our day better, with jokes and interesting anecdotes. Then came the action, aboard our kayaks, we were guided all around the amazing Ponta de Piedade, we visited its stunning caves and saw its beaches. Any cave had its own story and Peter knew them all as if he was talking about his own house. At each stop, he made sure everyone was there, safe, sound and able to listen to his next story. At the end, just before cruising back to Lagos, we had the chance to jump from the upper deck of the boat into the clear water of Algarve. An experience I d suggest to every single traveller!

So much fun! Starting off with a little boat ride to our destination which on its own was very nice. Excellent music selection from the crew. We spent around 1.5hrs purely kayaking and it was the perfect amount of time to explore all the little caves/rock formations. I wasn’t exhausted by the end of and thoroughly felt fulfilled. One of the guides Carlos made the trip very enjoyable with his little jokes and games, we absolutely loved him! Both of the guides made sure the group was following along and stopped if there were any stragglers. They also made sure the caves were safe enough to go in, the waves started to pick up towards the end and we ended up skipping out on going into one of caves. It was nice to know they looked out for us and that we wouldn’t be put into anything sketchy. Overall, a 10/10 experience and I would definitely go again with this friendly group!
