Miguel was a great guide. However, he can’t control the tides. On our tour, the tides were dead, they did not change so no mud flats were exposed . Ergo few birds. So despite Miguel’s interesting knowledge of the local wildlife, we did not encounter too many feathered friends. We did however spot a flock of pink flamingos (these were actually white due to local food) which is a rare happening. René &Linda

Super nice and funny guide. I was lucky as only two other people booked the tour so we had a very private experience. The stops on the two islands were of good length to see the places without getting bored. We saw some species of birds and were provided with information about the animals, the islands and the lagoon. You can tell how much the guide is connected to Faro and the lagoon and how much he loves his homeland. On the way back, the three of us could take the wheel and drive the boat ourselves. Unfortunately, it was a bit too cloudy to see a really beautiful sunset, but that's not the provider's fault. Definitely pack a jacket in winter as it got quite cold. Absolute recommendation

Miguel was knowledgeable, entertaining and ensured that all of us had a great time. The duration of the tour is perfect and we had a pretty awesome experience watching the sun sets towards the end of the boat tour which completes the icing on the cake. Would love to go on this tour again if I’m ever at Faro.
