Miguel has been an excellent guide, very knowledgeable with various kinds of birds. He even made an effort to stop at certain spots to show us the birds. He explained well and he is also serious yet funny. Deserta Island is a must see where the Atlantic Ocean meet the sea. Simply magnificent. Farol Island with the lighthouse and beautiful beach is also not to be missed. Best part of all is the lunch at Culantra, the fishermen village. Miguel recommended Jarchino. Seafood there is really really very fresh and delicious and very affordable. We had the best fish pasta. Miguel even helped up to take orders as the restaurant was busy during lunch time. We saw for ourselves live sea cucumber which was really unexpected. This Ria Formosa trip is a must when you visit Faro.

A very nice boat trip.

Our guide Miguel was very friendly and professional. We had an impediment and arrived too late for the time and date scheduled. But we were offered to come the next day because people had anointed, which was very kind and honest. This boat trip (three islands, 5 hours) is really to do, the scenery is beautiful and the pace of the walk (we stop long in each island) is perfect.

My family of five (2 adults, 3 kids under 10) took this tour and it was great! All three islands are unique and beautiful in their own way - one deserted with a great beach, the other a vacation spot with another great beach, and the third, a sweet fisherman's village. It was a nice "taste" of the islands (spent about one hour on each). Highly recommend!
