Full description

Escape the hustle and bustle of the Central Algarve on a full-day safari by 4WD vehicle, and drive through the region’s beautiful landscapes and off-road terrain. Following a pick-up from your hotel (available from accommodations between Praia da Luz and Quinta do Lago), enjoy a short briefing about the adventure to come. Then, venture along narrow roads as you head into the Algarve mountains. Pass through typical villages frozen in time. Continue along off-road trails that take in breathtaking landscapes and viewpoints. Hear explanations about the local culture and regional products. Continue along off-the-beaten tracks for some adrenaline thrills and more adventure if the weather allows. Taste local jams and liquors in the deepest heart of the Algarve, where traditional villages are refreshed by streams, and old settlements remain the same as they have for centuries.

Fantastic day having great fun whilst seeing some of the real Algarve

When I was young my parents booked us on a jeep safari from Alvor and this year I wanted to repeat the experience with my husband and our 2 children (12 and 10). I was not disappointed! Isabela was a brilliant driver, friendly and chatty. We all loved the extra detail she added like stopping and picking leaves off trees/bushes to tell us about them. We loved the jeep even though we've never been so dusty. We liked visiting the distillery and could resist making a purchase or two. The lunch was enjoyed by all with friendly service and generous portions. We couldn't fault the day and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Fabulously fun!

Excellent day with Tony as our driver! He was very knowledgeable especially in the flora and fauna areas and very funny. He tailored it perfectly to suit our various adrenaline levels. Made our teenager smile all day long. The views were amazing, lunch was delicious, the Medronho was fab and the actual riding around in the jeep was hilarious! This trip is a must for everyone!!

Great, insightful trip!

Nunu is a very fun driver and guide who cares about our well-being. The tour included narrow, mountainous alleys, cork and citrus trees, hand-made weaving with palm leaves, the donkey Balthazar, fire water tasting and a very delicious, traditional Portuguese meal. Highly recommended for people who would like to take a look behind the scenes of the tourist Algarve.
