Passionate, warm and very informative, highly recommended 👍 was great fun, no matter what the weather was like ☀️❄️🌧️
Every now and again an activity turns out to be unexpectedly brilliant - this was one of those occasions. We have completed walking tours in many towns and cities we have visited, this was by far the best. Lukas clearly loves living in Norway and as well as being extremely knowledgeable about Ålesund and Art Nouveau he also wanted to share what it is about Norway that made him want to make it his home. We both felt the tour was time well spent, we had walked around in the morning on our own but on the tour were taken down the edge of the quay and up to a viewing point we had previously missed. We quizzed Lukas about many aspects of Norwegian life, talked about civil engineering projects and marvelled at how well the government of Norway has managed the revenue from oil and gas. We also talked about the role of Ålesund in resisting during the war and the people involved. Lukas enjoys photography and offered to take photos of us during the tour, so we now have a record too.
