    The magical city of Silves is an enchanting example of the Arab influence that was present in its history and in its architecture, clearly evident due to the most important castle in the Algarve. You will have time to experience the thermal spa of Caldas De Monchique located in the heart of the Serra de Monchique Natural Park. Foia is situated within a stunning landscape and is famous for being the highest point of the Algarve. Here in Foia, you have the opportunity to taste the famous Medronho brandy, the most traditional drink in the Algarve made from the fruit harvested on the slopes of the Serra. You will then have some time to relax over a meal and experience local food and hospitality. Lastly you will stop in the traditional village of Monchique located at an altitude of 450 m where we can leisurely walk through its narrow streets and soak in the atmosphere of the unspoilt Algarve.

    Vanda, my tour guide was exceptional. I saw so many amazing sites from storks’ nest neighborhood to ancient springs flowing from the earth. I walked the Roman Bridge and drank coffee in a lovely cafe. Vanda has a wealth of knowledge all things Algarve. We discussed wine, native fruits and berries, archeology, history. I’m fortunate to have spent a day learning about the region. Im a solo traveler and felt so comfortable to be able to wander around knowing that Vanda was taking care of all the details. She is very efficient and punctual. One more note, I forgot my journal and book bag in the tour van and she arranged for it to be returned to me at my hotel the next morning.
