Full description

After a nice warm day, the best way to cool down is with an anti–stress tour along the Algarvean fields and their large fruit plantations. You will encounter lush green valleys with small streams and irrigation systems as you make your ascent to the top of the mountain. On your journey, you can stop at a crystal clear spring for relaxation and swimming (weather permitting) and visit a local farm sampling fresh honey and the infamous "firewater" before heading to the highest peak in the area to enjoy a unique and amazing sunset. You can comfortably rely on your driver's knowledge of the area and the history, traditions and way of life of the locals to ensure you get the most out of your trip. The tour will end with a generous dinner served in a mountain restaurant consisting of plenty of food and local wines. This tour is suitable for all ages, and the drivers are able to adapt the route according to your needs and preferences.

even in low season this was a lovely experience and Gil our guide was very nice n went out of his way for anything we needed. I loved to see the sunset and it was very romantic...my boyfriend proposed to me after that during the meal!!! so we ended up at the restaurant longer than anticipated but our guide did not mind at all. Top marks all round!

THE BEST DAY WITH THE BEST TOUR GUIDE!!

This was the best day we had out of the 10 days we were here! We had a wonderful time seeing the countryside of Portugal and getting right down in to the roots! Our tour guide Miguel was absolutely fantastic! This experience is educational, thrilling, fun, interesting, and breath taking! We visited some beautiful villages, some impeccable views, some hearty traditional farms and other beautiful places throughout Portugal. Miguel was so informative, entertaining and overall infallible! He made us feel safe whilst driving through the bumpy roads whilst also giving you the thrill factor of the 4x4! He has taught me so much about the local areas that I’ve been passing on my knowledge to people at home! I would recommend this day out to absolutely everyone! If there is something you should do whilst you are in the area, it’s this!!!!!! Thank you so much Miguel!

Zeker de moeite waard. De gids deed zijn best om alles uit te leggen in het Frans en Engels. Mooie zonsondergang en zeer lekker eten. Als je meer wil te weten komen over de authenticiteit en het dagelijks leven in Portugal dan is dit zeker een aanrader.
