Toulouse: Albi Cathédrale St Cécile, Cordes, & Ciel Day Trip

Overall a good day trip to Albi and Cordes sur Ciel. The time indicated on the activity description to arrive from Albi to Cordes sur Ciel is not correct. It takes more than 30 mins to arrive there. Our driver was driving at a moderate speed and it took him more than 45 mins to arrive there, without encountering any traffic. This leaves less time to go around Cordes sur Ciel since the excursion does not make up for any lost time during travelling. Also, it is advisable to check whether the little train that takes you up to the village at Cordes sur Ciel is working or not. For instance, on 17th Sep it was not working.

Everything ran smoothly and I considered this trip using get your guide as a better option than using public transport both in terms of convenience as well as price, treating the trip to Cordes-Sur-ciel as an extra bonus as I had not initially planned to go there. The only gripe is that in my opinion, there is very limited time to visit this medieval town as it is perched on a hilltop and the coach must stop quite a long distance away. A petite train is available close to the stop, nonetheless I barely had time to visit the church to ensure that I would not miss the petite train on the way back to the pick up point. In my opinion, adjusting the pick-up time from Albi could be a good solution to allow for a longer visit to this beautiful town.
