What People Are Saying About Alberobello
THIS WAS A LOT OF FUN AND INFORMATIVE BECAUSE WE HAD A GREAT GUIDE TALKING US THROUGH A CITY WITH A MOST UNUSUAL CULTURAL HISTORY. ALSO ENJOYED THE BEST HOME-MADE PISTACCHIO GELATO WE EVER HAD.
really unexpected pleasure as this stop was not earmarked on our pre-cruise option as worth seeing. But this tour is not to be missed and far cheaper to book direct. and seeing this site in a small group has great advantages especially not being herded onto coaches and sitting around onboard waiting for your sticker is one of them! We also left our camera on the bus and SeaDreams organised a courier to send it on to us so first class customer service
Superb. The van was comfortable and the guide, Ivana, was efficient, informative, knowledgeable and accommodating. Would use your service again.
Our group (8 of us) arrived in Bari at noon on the Splendour of the Seas and met our guide, Catarina, outside the port terminal. We found her quickly and waited only for a couple minutes for another couple to join us for our day trip to Alberobello. With a total of 10 people on our tour, we really lucked out. The group size was very manageable and we had a nice small bus to ourselves with plenty of room. We made it to Alberobello in about an hour and had a lovely tour around the town. Catarina was fantastic! She was full of knowledge about the Trulli and shared interesting stories while we strolled through the town. After the tour, we were left with about 45 minutes of free time which allowed us to eat paninis and gelato. On our way back to Bari, we took another road along the coast which was beautiful. We made a stop for those who wanted to see St. Nicholas' Basilica before the bus stopped at the terminal. Overall, we had a great day thanks to Catarina!
We took the 4 hour morning tour from Bari Port to Alberobello. The pickup at the port was not there at the designated meeting time or location and there was some initial confusion when we called to find out where the driver and guide were. The person who answered the phone tried to tell us to take a shuttle somewhere though we were at the specified pickup location. After a second call, they confirmed that the driver was delayed in traffic and that we in fact did not need to take a shuttle. Once the driver and guide arrived, the rest of the tour was great. We were transported in a coach bus though there were only 12 of us so we had plenty of room to spread out. The guide was very friendly and informative as we drove to Alberobello. She gave us a walking tour through Alberobello which is quite beautiful with the unique architecture. On return to Bari, we were given the option of being dropped in old town Bari or return to the port. A very enjoyable tour.
