What People Are Saying About Alberobello

Interesting and informative presented by a local with inside knowledge

This tour was great and covered a lot in 2 hours. Our tour guide grew up in the area as did her parents so the insider knowledge was especially interesting. Can't wait to go back to Matera!

Perfect way to spend the afternoon in Matera!

We spent 2 hrs. walking the Sassi and learning about the history and culture. Our guide, Anna answered all of our questions patiently and added insight from growing up in Matera. We enjoyed the ability to go inside a traditional Sassi cave home and several rock churches along the way. It was very interesting and the pace was comfortable despite the steps and hill climbing. Anna was very charming and knowledgeable.

A unique historical experience with a smile

A superb experience, with an excellent and knowledgeable guide in Luigi. As my group are in their 60/70 age ranges I was certainly concerned when I realised the apparent steps and slopes that were an inevitable part of the Sassi walking tour. I did mention this to Luigi who walked at our pace with plenty of stops for discussion and viewing, so much so that my wife who has difficulty with even one flight of stairs was disappointed and yet elated when the tour concluded and she was not at all weary. A must tour to discover how these people lived and the travails of their lives.

A wonderful trip to a fairy tale village!

I highly recommend this tour as one of the most beautiful places in the region. It took us about an hour to get to Alberobello. Our giude Vito was telling us about the region while we were enjoying the wine yards and olive trees fields from the window of the car. When we arrived we walked throw the Trulli village. Even though it was not a very touristic time (February) some souvenir shops were open. We could enter several Trulli and our giude showed us the view from the roof over the whole village. A very nice experience!
