Alanya: 4-Hour City Tour with Sunset Panorama

The jeep was anything but roadworthy. The seats were also very cramped. The driver had real problems driving up the steep mountain to the lookout point. The guide only spoke English and Turkish. Here too, the description stated that there would be a German-speaking guide. Very disappointing, as we did not understand the explanations. 1. Lookout point in the Taurus Mountains with a stop of around 25 minutes. Down into the town to the cable car, which takes you up the mountain. Over 300 steps you get to the lookout point on the castle for the famous sunset. This was so crowded that we did not really enjoy it. There was no information about the castle. Stop of around 75 minutes, which was just about enough. Then we went to the stalactite cave and the legendary Cleopatra beach. You can choose freely, as entry to the cave is not included. But you can't see anything on the beach in the dark. Our conclusion: Very disappointing.

It wasn't a city tour with information about the city, but just a transport ride to the viewpoints. The timing was right in that we were at the castle at sunset and were able to see it. Given the high number of visitors at the castle and the rush for the cable car, the time for the cable car and castle was too short. The vehicle only has 4 functioning seat belts in the 6 seats. Since there were only 4 of us, this was less of a problem.

Beautiful sunset, wonderful views. However, the trip itself is about 2 hours, the rest is getting there.
